Overdraft Privilege!!
Your Checking Account just got better !!
"Overdraft Privilege" is a financial resource that can protect your checking account (S-51,52) from being overdrawn of funds. This value added service to your checking account will save you money and the embarrassment of having your checks or Debit/Check card transactions returned. As long as you maintain your account in good standing, Miami Firefighters Federal Credit Union has the discretion to cover your overdrafts up to a limit of $1,500 including fees, rather than returning them unpaid. Should an overdraft occur, your account will be charged the service fee (see Fee Schedule) per overdraft but you won't have to pay the additional merchant fee and you won't have to suffer the embarrassment of having a returned transaction.
Of course, "Overdraft Privilege" will first check your savings account or money market account (if designated) and transfer those funds for free. If those funds are not available then "Overdraft Privilege" will provide you the funds necessary to cover your overdraft (up to a $1,500 limit including fees). You will have 10 days to deposit the funds (advanced you by the credit union) back into your account.
There are no application forms to complete, you will be automatically enrolled in Overdraft Privilege after your checking account has been open for 30 days and remains in good standing.

"Overdraft Privilege" is just that, a member privilege, at anytime Miami Firefighters Federal Credit Union may withdraw this privilege to your account. Payment of any overdrafts will continue to be at the discretion of Miami Firefighters Federal Credit Union and payment of an overdraft does not obligate us or create an agreement or course of dealing on our part to allow overdrafts on any occasion nor is it intended to encourauge you to over draft your account.
