Who Can Join

1. Any active or retired employee of the City of Miami Fire Department  
2. Any active or retired employees of our Select Employee Groups (SEGs).
3. Any immediate family members and Widows or Widowers, of the above mentioned, or anyone sharing a household with the above-mentioned. 

Immediate Family Membership is limited to a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent or grandchild. Stepchildren, stepparents, stepsiblings and adopted children are also included in this definition.

Household Membership is defined as persons living in the same residence and who maintain a single unit. This includes any person who is a permanent member of and participates in the maintenance of the household.

How to Join MFFCU
All that is required to join MFFCU is completion of a membership application card and a deposit of at least $5.00 is required in your share account.

Maintaining Membership
Maintain a minimum balance of $5.00 or more to assure a permanent account. If you are retiring or leaving the field of membership, you may continue full member benefits and services.

Joint Accounts
Joint depositors have full and equal access to monies in your account. Joint depositors are not members. They must be eligible for membership and open their own account to become a member. We will not delete a joint depositor from an account without written consent of the joint depositor. Parents must be signed as joint depositors on a minor's account.
